Purpose:
You wish to create a report showing a specific application or set of applications within your environment for the purposes of completing a vendor audit, compliance requirements, or to generate historical data.
Resolution:
In this example, Charley B, a customer needed to complete a report on all Autodesk products installed in his environment. The following shows how he creates a custom scan profile to search the registry relevant to each program on the target computers and then generated a report based on the results of the registry scan.
Create a scan profile:
1. In PDQ Inventory, go to Options > Scan Profiles.
2. Click on New.
3. In the New Scan Profile window, name the scan profile and click on Add and select Registry.
4. Add the following to the Include Pattern(s) of the scanner:

5. Click OK and OK again to save the scan profile.
6. Next, click on the New Report > Basic in the ribbon.
7. In the new report window, name the report something meaningful.
8. Add the columns as desired, for example:

10. Run the scan against the desired targets and view the results of the report.
