Purpose:
You upgrade to Deploy 15 and notice you have one or more duplicates in the Upgraded Auto Deployments folder.
Resolution:
The packages are not actually duplicates, so this is by design. When an Auto Deployment package has multiple approval settings (schedule-level), the packages are upgraded and then split into different packages to reflect the different approvals.
Example:
In PDQ Deploy 14, there are three Auto Deployment packages, 7-Zip, FileZilla, and Google Chrome Enterprise.
With 7-Zip, there are three schedules, all with different approvals:
With FileZilla, there are two schedules, both with different approvals:
With Chrome, there is one schedule, and one approval:
PDQ Deploy 14 is upgraded to PDQ Deploy 15+. Previous Auto Deployment packages are converted into Auto Download packages and placed in the "Upgraded Auto Deployments" folder.
Notice the multiple packages. Each package is created and reflects a different approval:
Etc.
