Purpose
You wish to know what determines the different computer icons that are automatically set in PDQ Inventory.
Resolution
Computer icons shown in PDQ Inventory are not based off Operating Systems, but instead based off the ChassisType value in the Win32_SystemEnclosure class in WMI. This chassis type is also brought into PDQ Inventory when a Computer Details scan is ran, and the data may be viewed from the Chassis column.
