On-demand installations

Is there any way to create an package that a user could request be installed on-demand?

For example, if something only needs to be installed on a couple of machines, is there a way for the users to request it, then get a success message when/if it's done?

    There is no such feature as far as I know. Never the less I would not recommend this way of "self service". If users want something, they should contact the IT department[guy.
