WIndows 10 Start Menu - Play/Explore always come back

So I've had a lot of success with Windows 10 and the start menu.  I have one thorn in my side I can't seem to figure out.  No matter what I've tried I can not get these Explore / Play to go away and NOT come back.  I've tried I believe all the PowerShells scripts I can find and none prevent these from come back.

  • I can't even seem to find information on those two Tile types to begin helping. What are they exactly? Do you know?

  • They aren't anything from what I can tell... They are just blank tiles.  If I click them nothing happens.  If I right click  I can "unpin from start" but they come right back.  It's like they were something, but the powershell scripts to remove the bloatware apps, removed them, but the tile still appears.   It has me baffled.

  • Which edition of Win 10 is this? Pro? Enterprise?

  • Pro is what we're running.

  • So i found the solution.  I have the GPO Policy for the Start Menu.  The problem is when the computers go off "Company Internet" the Start Menu GPO doesn't "hold" I'm assuming because it's looking for the specific XML which I had placed on a Company Share.  I ended up creating a Folder in C:\Windows\  called StartMenu and added the XML, then pointed the GPO StartMenu to that location.  After that was completed and updated everything was working as expected.
