Email notification Server/Client configuration

Hi,
I'm currently using the trial of PDQ and I'm loving it so far!
One thing I've found though is that if you wanted to use unauthenticated, IP white list relaying for email notifications from PDQ, that it appears to use the logged in client IP as the originator of the message, rather than the server IP. As a result, the email doesn't get through the exchange server.

Which version of PDQ Deploy are you using?
I fired up Wireshark and it shows that my Server sent the email, not my Client. I initiated the deployment from my Client.

The version is 13 (Release 2) Enterprise mode.
I white listed my laptop IP on the internal relay and the messages started sending. The email header shows the message originating from my laptop: laptop > relay server > mailbox. The PDQ server isn't shown.

Aha! I see what's going on here. When you use the Send Test Email button that DOES send from the Client. However, in my testing the report is sent from the Server. I will put in a bug ticket for the Send Test Email button.

However, it appears that even with both IP addresses white listed and test emails sending successfully from both the central server and the connected client, that I'm not receiving email notifications based on the deployments or schedules.

Do you have "Send only when results change" enabled in the notification?

No, just the defaults.
That is probably why you aren't receiving emails. Try disabling that and running a deployment. If you receive an email you can turn it back on if you want.

Not sure if I'm misunderstanding the logic though. I'm deploying alternating apps (Teamviewer Host and Teamviewer Client), so I'd expect to receive a status change when one is removed in favour of the other, even with the 'Send only when results change' ticked?

It's only looking at the Status of the deployment. This is from the manual:
The "Send Test Email" bug fix will be in Deploy 14.
