Service status
When I open the "Services" page for a computer in Inventory, it reads the current status of all services from that computer and displays it on the page, rather than displaying the situation as of the latest scan. I first noticed this in version 13, but according to the documentation it has been this way for ages.
This is a useful feature in general, but it causes me some trouble anyway. I have a service on my computers that runs while, and only while, Inventory is scanning. If it does not run then, the scan result is incomplete. (Details at https://support.pdq.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000002951-Scanning-for-Python .)
Simply looking at the Services page (unless there happens to be a scan going on at the same time) therefore puts the computer into the dynamic collection listing the systems where the service is not running.
Is there a way to prevent Inventory from either doing this live service state update at all, or even better, from remembering the results, so that the stored service state on which collections are based remains as gathered from the latest scan?

I'll put in a feature request, but in the meantime I recommend creating a report to view the services of your targets.
