Create package

Hi,

I'm already using PDQ Deploy and I find it really great. I know how to create a package, but (as far as I know) I only can use the main msi parameters. But would it be possible too to create a package where you can define which extra options are needed to select during installation? For instance software that asks to install extra software that you don't want to install. Is there a way to create something like an answer file?

    Jo,

When it comes to EXEs each publisher can have different parameters that work with their software depending on how it was built. Basically if a publisher doesn't add a parameter you are wanting there isn't anything you can do about that other than create scripts that physically click the software for you. The good news is that a large portion of publishers do have parameters and a lot of the time the hardest part is simply taking the time to research and find documentation for those parameters. Good luck!
