No such host is known
When trying to deploy software, with some systems I am receiving the error "No such host is known".
The thing is that these systems appear in PDQ Inventory and they appear "Online". I am also able to ping them, so I know they are reachable.
What could be causing this error and how do I resolve it?
Thank you.

I started getting this error starting in 15R2 when deploying to targets by ip address. I only do that when I'm working with a laptop device that's not on its dock and thereby on wifi. This is due to our screwed up DNS system we have to use here.
Haven't put much effort into figuring it out as I usually just let it go until they get the device to the Dock and a heartbeat handles it fine from there.
But it would be interesting to know what changed.

I had the issue earlier this week. https://support.pdq.com/hc/en-us/requests/103910. PDQ Deploy 15 Release 3 build 16 fixed it for me.

I've encountered this issue and on three end-points I re-mediated by ensuring only one of the LAN or WLAN ports were active. I generated a Dell Command Configure .exe w/ controlwlanradio enabled (Power and Performance Management). This BIOS setting disables WLAN when LAN is active (e.g. when docked).
Ran the .exe w/ logging in a shutdown script out of a GPO. I haven't seen the 'No such host is known' error since.
HTH.
