Custom Tools - Editing the registry

I have a batch file that edits the registry and works just fine if I deploy it to a computer in PDQ Deploy.

What I want to do is make it a custom tool in PDQ Inventory. But when I right click a computer and run the tool it edits the registry on the computer that I'm Using PDQ Inventory from not from the computer I've selected.  Below is what I have.  What am I doing wrong?

cmd.exe /s /c ""C:\Users\Public\Documents\Admin Arsenal\PDQ Deploy\Repository\Scripts\RemoveAutoLogon.bat""

  • Yep, Tools run on the PDQ console machine. You have to use variables like $(Computer:TARGET), but the command you're running has to support remote operations.

  • I don't quite get how to do that. Can you point me in the direction of some reference material I could look at? Is the variable a function of PDQ Inventory or CMD?

  • Colby, thank you so much for letting me know about this! I've been using the beta for the last couple of days and the tools I've made have saved a ton of time. Really love this feature.
