Scan and Deploy in the Same Package

I have an issue with PDFCreator where HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce\PDFCreatorRestart exists and prevents the package from installing.  Currently, the first schedule installs PDFCreator then scans for the registry key.  About an hour later a second schedule kicks off that deletes the registry key and installs PDFCreator.  Is it possible to make this in to one package?  I think it would look something like this.

Pkg - Install PDFCreator
   Scan for registry keys
      Pkg - Delete registry keys
         Pkg - Install PDFCreator

  • Ron, did you end up getting yourself a package made for the process?

  • Thanks!  I think this will work for what I am trying to do.

  • Forgot to mention, be sure to check the Options > Scanning is set to your registry scanner after deployment, will save time compared to a standard full scan (assuming that may still be your default scan)
