Deploying BitDefender on MAC

Hi, wondering if anybody can help me out, I am trying to deploy Bitdefender to endpoints silently, Bitdefender only support Jamf so they are not being much help at the moment! I have managed to create a script  that will install the software and created profiles for full disk access and bitdefender system extensions however I cannot find a profile that will allow me to add the traffic proxi setting as shown on their website (https://www.bitdefender.com/support/Bitdefender-Endpoint-Security-for-Mac:-How-to-Configure-Jamf-Pro-for-macOS-Big-Sur-11-0-and-later-2661.html#proxy), I have tried the web content filter profile but it just keeps giving errors and doesn't even upload to the machines. Anybody here has had a similar issue that could possibly help?

  • You could use a custom configuration profile. Here is a link to Apple's documentation for the profile: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/webcontentfilter?changes=latest_minor
If you decide to pursue this, you could use a tool like ProfileCreator to help with the process of building the app.

Furthermore, I have seen situations where some antivirus solutions may not recognize these settings immediately despite being configured correctly.
In some cases, it may require that you restart the machine (or quit and restart the antivirus, etc) before the new settings applied.

Let us know what ends up working for you.
