Local admin vs domain user with local admin rights

Hi Team,

I have an instance where an application deploys successfully when run as local admin and as a domain user added to the administrators group, but, the app falls over when run with the later. A bunch of files missing and .net crashes.

My question is, is there a difference between these users? I've never had an issue before.

Hi Gregory,
in my experience, there are some software packages that simply don't like being deployed. Some do "require" that you log on in to the system with GUI.

So I would firstly try to physically login as local administrator and then as domain administrator and try to run the setup. See how it behaves while using the GUI and monitor the logs.
