Product keys scanning, possible to revert?

Is there any place I can get the last version PDQ inventory 8? Is it even possible to downgrade considering it upgrades the database with the new version; not sure if this can be done in reverse? I upgraded to version 9 thinking I would be getting bug fixes and improvements to the application. Instead we later noticed removal of one important feature, product key scanning. (I'm not even sure why it was removed instead of deprecated) This was a pretty big selling point when we decided to go with this product. What's the point in an inventory program that requires third party programs to inventory your products? Very disappointed with this regression, but we would to at least ride out the rest of the license with the version that worked for us. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    There are some ideas here but it's a major disappointment this feature has been removed.
