Remote Logoff

I'm currently using PDQ free to test some remote deployment options.  I'm running across some issues with being able to remotely logoff the current user that is logged in.  The remote stations are Windows 7 & 8 Pro

I have tried two methods:

1) Using the batch file with the command: shutdown /l /f

2) Using psshutdown.exe from PS-Tools.

Method 1.

The output log shows:

C:\Windows\AdminArsenal\PDQDeployRunner\service-1\exec>shutdown /l /f
GECKO: Incorrect function.(1)

Method 2.

The deployment just hangs - On the remote station I can see in task manager psshutdown.exe is running but nothing happens.

Any ideas?

  • I'm using version 8 of PDQ by the way - will upgrade to latest and see if that makes any difference.
