Windows Firewall

no ways can I install anything unless the firewall on the remote PC is OFF 

what port can I set for PDQ deploy to work

  • The following policies need to be enabled to allow PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory to successfully manage client computers. From your GPO editor (GPMC.MSC or GPEDIT.MSC)

    Windows Firewall: Allow inbound file and printer sharing exception 
    Windows Firewall: Allow ICMP exceptions (Inbound Echo Request is needed)

    You can find these policies under

    Computer Configuration \ Policies \ Administrative Templates \ Network \ Network Connections \ Windows Firewall \ Domain Profile

    If the target computer is not a member of a domain then change the Domain Profile to Standard Profile.

    PDQ Deploy uses the standard Microsoft ports for SMB and remote administration. You can find a list of them here.
