PDQ deploy Office 2010 Professional w/ SP1 32bit - silent install, activation wizard prompt

After deploying silent using the MSP (as per the video settings), I am getting the Activation Wizard prompt after first use. We have a MAK license. The issue is that by registering after the install and during first use, the user is prompted for an admin account which they do not have. Can this activation be part of the silent install or to be performed automatically after first use with no account prompts?

parameters: /adminfile custom-office.msp

  • Starting with Office 2010  Microsoft is now requiring activation of all installations, even those with MAK. The way to avoid disrupting your users is to use Microsoft KMS (Key Management Service) server in your environment. The KMS server will communicate with Microsoft and pull down the number of activations that your account is entitled to. In your MSP you select the KMS option instead of the MAK option and you provide the KMS server name/info. Your deployments will then silently activate to the KMS server.

Here is a link from Microsoft for the KMS install.
