minor little bugs

In pdq deploy, when you go to schedules & sort by date, it doesn't sort very well. See attached "sort.jpg".

Also when selecting computers from pdq inventory to use pdq deploy with, 2 things happen. First the first package of pdq deploy is always expanded, see "expanded.jpg". Second sometimes the process of going from inventory to deploy to install packages brings up the deploy window but then goes back to inventory window. It's weird.

  • Thanks.  The sorting one is just going by text, so we'll need to make it date aware.

We'll look into the other issue.  Windows sometimes acts a bit weird when activating windows between applications.  What version of Windows are you on?

  • Jonathan,

Thank you.  The expanding problem might be related to a fix we made to handle another issue with the window, we'll look into it.  When you say the "windows" do you mean where the Deploy window shows briefly and then it goes back to Inventory?  If so, we were never able to reliably reproduce that one and it seemed to go away on it's own, it seemed to have more to do with the version of Windows than anything we could fix easily.

  • Yes, that's what I meant by the windows issue. I figured it had to do with some "set.focus" issue. I also don't like it when one fix breaks something else, hahaha.

Well the product still works so it's just an annoyance rather than a hindrance.

    Thanks

  • Jonathan,

Yeah, it's a weird one.  There are a couple of different ways to set focus and activate a window and it seems that there are some circumstances where it just doesn't work properly. Windows gets a bit finicky when it dealing with one application controlling another, though, so it's not entirely unexpected.
