Trigger a deployment?

Hi

Is there any way to trigger a deployment when a computer boots up, or logs on? Ie can we put something in the users logon script that talks to PDQ Deploy that tells it to trigger an install?

The reason is we have laptops that come on/off during the day but only for short periods of time, and it can be weeks before PDQ Deploy manages to install it (even when i set the schedule to run once an hour).

Thanks

  • I'd be interested if this has been implemented yet too. Where can I view the feature requests?

  • What we have right now is the Heartbeat Trigger. This will trigger a schedule if a computer goes from Offline to Online in PDQ Inventory. https://documentation.pdq.com/PDQInventory/14.3.0.0/index.html?automatic-scanning.htm

I don't know how we handled it in 2013, but all of our feature requests are handled internally today.

The Update Notes section in our documentation contains a running list of changes. https://documentation.pdq.com/PDQInventory/14.3.0.0/update_notes.htm
