adobe flash not working

I had an install show successful....read the log everything successful....went to a page....flash not installed...

 

this is the latest flash 12 .0.38  not for win 8...

this was installed on a win764 bit machine....failing but showing success...

I was remoted into the pc at the time to see if it closed any IE browsers that were open....its said all closed....none closed...?

it is like the remote install in not working on the correct machine?

 

Ideas welcome

    Did you use the Adobe Flash (All IE) package on the Windows 8 machine? Windows 8 and 8.1 will require a reboot after the install to use the new Flash.

    On the Windows 7 machine look to see if there are any files in the %WINDIR%\System32\Macromed\Flash directory. Do you see the ActiveX file for 12.0.0.38?

    I only used the IE active x that doesn't install for win 8.  WE do not have any win 8 here.....on purpose...:)

    I am trying again today....hope this gets resolved...

    Try running the Adobe Flash Uninstall package. (You can try the ALTERNATE package if you want to be very throrough). After doing that reattempt the deployment of Flash.
