Update Installer File Path?

I have several packages setup for deployment but I am moving the drive that houses the installer files to another server so I need to update the Installer File path. However, when I edit the package, the option to point to the installer file is grayed out (with the original path). Is there another way to update the path rather than having to delete and re-add the step for that package?

  • Is the Custom checkbox checked (near the bottom of the Package window)? If so, uncheck that and you should be good to go.

It is important to remember that the Custom checkbox should rarely have to be used. To add command line parameters simply add the values to the Parameters field.

  • That was exactly it Shane. Thank you.

I seriously don't know why I was using that Custom check box on most of my deployments but not all. Stupid brain.
