Teamviewer 9 - Account Assignment

Has anyone figured out a way how to suppress this prompt? In the Teamviewer Host MSI Manual, there's a guide on how to setup a ServiceConnectionPoint, along with a suggestion to push the package out via Group Policy. We've tried that in our organization but it still comes up. This isn't *too* much of a problem since we're a small organization, but I'd be frustrated if I had to go to every machine & tell it to "Add this Host" to our account. I've contacted Teamviewer & am awaiting a reply. The only thing I can think of is we probably didn't put it in the suggested place - I'm not sure why that would make a difference though. Admittedly, I'm a bit unfamiliar with ServiceConnectionPoints in AD except for when it comes to Exchange.

  • Hi,

Did you ever sort this issue?  I'm having the same problem.

    Thanks,

  • Luke -

Yes, we resolved the issue. The problem was that the ServiceConnectionPoint we created (SCP) was placed in the wrong spot in Active Directory. After I notified my Administrator of this, he fixed it & everything worked properly. Hope it works for you! Let me know if you have any issues & I can try to help assist! :)
