Sharing Packages
Just obtained Enterprise Mode Licenses, and I'm trying to share packages, but I'm not seeing sharing going on.
I put in the UNC path into both computers, the shared db is appearing in that folder... but I'm not seeing the shared packages show up on the other installation. Where should I be seeing them? I'm assuming right alongside the local packages? Am I missing something? I have manually shared a few packages but still not seeing anything... I used the same Enterprise user email in both, is that the problem? I am having trouble logging into the management site to add another email.

Hi Louise, you will need to use your second user. The Enterprise sharing is between users, not between consoles, so a user would not be able to share packages with the same user. Your second user is activated already so please use that email and let us know if it is working for you.
I'm seeing the same, I only have 1 user, but the installation is installed on 3 machines due to network structure issues
I would like all Three machines to see the same packages, Collections
How to?
Regards
Andreas
Andreas, in order to share packages to three consoles using the Enterprise version you would need to have 3 enterprise licenses. If you only want to keep the one license that you have then you would need to export/import packages and replicate your server structure using Microsoft DFS.
Hi Shawn,
I'm in the same situation (case #29464) . Single admin, 19 remote locations. DFS is only useful if you have servers in each remote location, but the UNC path would also need to be modified for each package (times each location) regardless for updates from the package library. I spent $1000 for both products, and lose out on a feature I can benefit from as a single admin due to what appears to be trust issues. Since I'm a remote user myself, I'm stuck RDP'ing into a console (for every little thing) at our hub location since that's where the bandwidth is.
Hi Jeremy, thanks for letting us know about your situation. We engineered the enterprise solution for multiple admins vs. multiple consoles from the same admin. I'm sorry that that is not working for your situation. I don't anticipate a change our setup at this point, unfortunately.
