What happens when a target computer goes offline during installation?

I guess the status of a job would go to failed, right? And if I try to run the job again, it will first check if the installation files are there and when not copy again from the source?

    It would fail if the system were to go offline. At that point a retry would push the files again. There is no checking performed.
