Find and Replace software

Just in my first days of my PDQ inventory/deploy trial and loving it so far.

What I'm trying to figure out is a replace software sequence; So for example, when computer has winzip/winrar, uninstall and replace with 7Zip, or where Office 2007 is installed, replace with 2013.

I've got collections set up to identify the machines, Its the uninstall part that's causing the headache; PDQinventory lets me uninstall from Computer view, but I'm an automation fiend! And its more of a heache when, with something like WinRar, there's a bazillion different versions.

Pointers welcomed!

    I recommend creating Uninstall packages, Install packages, and Upgrade packages that nest an Uninstall followed by an Install. A command I frequently use for uninstalling applications is: [ wmic product where "name like 'adobe flash player%%activex'" call uninstall /nointeractive ]. The %% is a wildcard. This particular command will remove all versions of Adobe Flash Player for IE. I'm sure it's not perfect, but it works pretty well for me.
