Firstclass
An enterprise-level email/communications system, typically for public-sector employees with strict auditing requirements. I've noticed our organization sees updates about once a month.
My current process is to download the latest version, run the installer (standard .MSI with silent switches), then create a settings file called 'home.fc' in the %USERPROFILE%\Documents\FirstClass\settings folder to explain where the server to log into is located at. I have the deployment copy the file into the 'All Users' version, and into the 'Default' user's Document folder, so it's available to any new users who log in.

Hi Luke, I am going to move this post to the Silent Install Options forum. That's a good place for these solutions to more obscure products that others may need to install as well. This current forum (Package Library Requests) is for requests for commonly used and freely available products that we can add to our library for others to download from our hosted servers. Since this product is a cost product we will not be able to host it in our library as we have no way to verify that the users who pull it down are properly licensed.
Thanks for the submission. PLEASE keep them coming. If you solve a tough deployment issue we love when our users share it with others. It saves so much time down the road.

Hi Shawn,
The server program is the part the costs money, but the client is freely available - For Windows, Mac, Blackberry, iOS, and Android. More details are here though - http://www.firstclass.com/Resources/ClientDownloads
If it gets moved, at least the information is there - But I still think it would be something to look into, with the vast majority of Canadian Government employees (provincial and national) are using it over Microsoft Exchange (i.e. Outlook).
Hi Luke, thanks for the info. I'll review their EULA. I'll also try and gauge the popularity of the app to see if there is enough demand for it in the pkg lib. Thanks again for letting us know.
