Lansweeper

Hi,

Just purchased PDQ Deploy and noticed that you have a connection to SpiceWorks.

Have you ever considered a connection to Lansweeper, (http://www.lansweeper.com/)?

We have been running Lansweeper as our in house inventory and asset database for the last three years with excellent results.

If you were able to sync with this, it would save us running another network scanner, such as Spiceworks, on our network.

Please consider this.

Cheers,

Barry Smith.

  • Hi Barry, we have considered it as well as other inventory solutions in the marketplace, but we have ultimately decided not to do so. Spiceworks is a free solution that is open for integration. The other solutions are cost based. Plus to complicate matters there is some crossover with our inventory tool PDQ Inventory

One option is to use your current solution to generate a report of computers that need a specific app. Just have one computer name per line in text file that you generate and then you can import that list in PDQ Deploy when you are selecting target computers for a deployment.

    Hopefully that should work
