Package returned error code 12010
I'm testing PDQ Deploy Enterprise Mode and am trying to deploy Adobe Reader X 10.1.15. When I try to deploy the package I see the following error:
Package returned error code 12010
There aren't any details accompanying this error so I have no idea what this means. There doesn't appear to be any information on the net either. Can somebody please help me and explain what this error means?
NOTE: I replaced the default package AdbeRdr1014_us_en.exe with AdbeRdr1010_ja_jp.exe. I also removed the command to install the Adobe Reader X Patch 10.1.15 (I plan on test installing that separately.)

Hi Jyostin,
Error code 12010 : This product is already installed. I believe you're getting this error because you've replaced the English version of AdbeRdr1014 with AdbeRdr1010. Try downloading the AdbeRdr1014 in the language you'd like and replace the install files.
Thank you for the reply. I replaced the AdbeRdr1010 file with AdbeRdr1014 and now the error code changed to 1642, which I guess means the following:
"The installer cannot install the upgrade patch because the program being upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch updates a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."
On the target machine where I want to install the package, Adobe Reader 10.1.14 (patched from 10.1) is already installed. So I guess that I need to add an additional step prior to the package install to uninstall the old version of Adobe Reader?
Another question: as I mentioned Adobe Reader 10.1.14 (patched from 10.1) is already installed on the target machine. I would like to apply the 10.1.15 patch directly to the existing patched reader installation, but this is not possible, right? (I already tried and received the same error code 1642).
From what I understand it looks like you are in limbo. When you replaced the original file, it said it was already installed, then when you tried to patch the secodary installation, it said that the package wasn't installed.
What I would do: completely remove the application and start over with the replaced file and upgrade from that point. That would eliminate the initial error and then the subsequent errors when trying to upgrade.
