Just deployed with a message as a step but it does not display for users and keeps giving Interactive Services Detection
Hello,
just deployed some software and had success. The only trouble is that I chose a message as first step. This message was just a polite heads up. I chose wait for user to click OK.
The message does not display for the users. There is a constant Interactive Services Detected tab that pops up. it then says View the message / ask me later.
If closed it just returns eventually and is running on the clients as a process called ui0detect.exe
Please can you advise how to stop this from troubling the users constantly ? Preferably from the PDQ end rather than on every client !
The software has installed and I have now stopped the deploy, the prompts for the message remain.
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,
Sorry this comes late, but you'll want to check services.msc and see what the "Interactive Services Detection" Startup Type is set to. Ideally, it should be set to "manual" but there are some applications, gremlins, and ne'r-do-well programs that can cause this to start and/or set the Startup Type to automatic. Test and see if setting it to run manually (and stopping the service if it is running) helps keep that from popping up.
