Schedules and timezones

Hi,

I am wondering if someone found a workaround for scheduling reboots of servers in different timezones... I am making a schedule to patch servers automatically and reboot them at a specified time and day.. but as the servers are spread all over EU/USA/APAC this could cause servers to reboot during working hours on the other side of the world... Anyone with some tips?

I am running PDQ deploy and inventory both enterprise licensed.

Thanks!

Jelle

(I earlier logged a case with support that was already handeled)

  • I noticed that PDQ Inventory does know the timezone a computers is setup with..

Would be really nice to be able to use that in a deployment schedule... (hint for next release)

    Thanks!

    Keep up the good work.

  • This idea has been passed along to the developers but at the current time the only way to achieve this would be to schedule each set of servers based on their time zone.

  • Setup a collection in PDQ inventory for each of the Time Zones. Then create a schedule for each of those collections that will fire off at the correct time according to the PDQ consoles time.
