exe only making it half way through install

So I am new to PDQ deploy but read the documentation thoroughly. I am trying to deploy a small app from our health care provider to all the machines on the network. I have been testing it and seems that the install is only making it half way through and getting stuck somewhere.

This is what i have so far. The exe is a Inno Setup package and I believe the switches are

 /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART /SP-

The application starts to install... even the desktop icon shows up. However PDQ deploy will show "running" until it times out. At that point if you click the desktop icon on the target machine it errors out saying that a .dll is missing try reinstalling.

Any ideas on what I am missing?

Thanks in advance!

  • EXEs are finicky little creatures. You should consult the application's documentation for the proper switches. If the documentation doesn't have them, contact support.

    In the meantime, try this:
    /S /V"/qn /norestart /log output.log ALLUSERS=1"

Just out of curiosity, what are you trying to install? I have experience with deploying a few different EHR client applications. Some of them are really weird.
