Auto Deployment Adobe STD vs Reader Condition

I'm trying to create a pre-deployment step that will check to see if Adobe Standard/Pro is installed, we have an environment with 9,10, and 11, and if Adobe Standard/Pro is installed to stop installation of Adobe Reader (Currently using DC). If it is possible to set a command to run/check this and return a pass/fail code we can stop the installations from going on our Adobe STD/Pro PC's. Only problem though I don't know anything about scripting a command for that to take place.

  • It would be easier to create a collection in PDQ Inventory.

  • I have PDQ Inventory setup with an Adobe STD and Adobe RDR collection group, but currently everyone with Adobe STD has Adobe RDR. Going forward I only want to apply Adobe RDR to PC's without Adobe STD.

  • I was able to figure out how to create a collection group to include PC's with RDR only, didn't know how to use the "Inherit"  option from the 'Drill down from parent collection'.
