Copy stage is restarted until it fails

I have a weird issue with PDQ Deploy 5 (release2) Free mode.

When deploying a package, I can see it is always restarted at "copying" stage.

It begins to copy and when reaching about 40-50% it backs to 0% again. And it happens again and again... and the deployment is never finished.

Error is "Remote process exceeded timeout for completion"

It is the first time I see it...

Thanks

  • HI:

I just updated to v.8 and I have the same issue.

Reinstalling the application did not solved the problem.

    Regards

  • Where do you have the files stored for the package you are deploying? Is this happening to just 1 package, or all of them? Is this happening to 1 target, or all of them? Are you on a domain? Are you using an account that has admin rights on your targets? Is there any packet loss between you and your targets?

  • To add what Colby was asking, this might also be an issue with AV software. For instance, ImgBurn will sometimes be detected as containing malware. Other packages might also be blocked depending on AV software settings. There might also be network issues, as Colby indicated. GPO SRP might also be a factor, though that will usually prevent the copy in its entirety.
