Appcrash upon startup

I have tried to put PDQ deploy on two different Win 2008R2 servers and it works for a while.  After a reboot PDQ Deploy will fail to start up with the error APPCRASH.  If you try to uninstall and reinstall, the error still exists.

  • Hi Aaron,

This is most likely a known issue with .NET.  Without seeing the actual error we're guessing a little bit but this has been fairly common.  Please uninstall/reinstall and patch .NET or (much better) install and patch .NET 4.5.2 or 4.6+ on the console machine then attempt to run PDQ. You do not need to uninstall/reinstall the PDQ product.

  • Hi Terry,

Were you able to install .NET 4.5.2 or 4.6+, patch and then run Deploy or are you still getting the error? If you are, you will need to completely uninstall .NET and reinstall (a repair will likely not work) or upgrade to the latest version.
