Enable Uninstall of Quick Package

Since the warnings of the quick time vulnerabilities do you plan on making that package available to pro level subscriptions. That would be much appreciated

  • This isn't as fancy as the package from Admin Arsenal, but should work fairly well:

wmic product where "name like 'QuickTime%%'" call uninstall /nointeractive

Just create a package with the above line as a command step.

  • Hi Lee,

Because of the complexity of our Uninstall Packages they are only being offered at the Enterprise level.  What I'd recommend is starting a 14 day Enterprise trial of Deploy (might as well try PDQ Inventory too right) and use one of your 3 downloads to import the Uninstall Quicktime package from the Package Library.

    PDQ Deploy Enterprise Mode Trial
    PDQ Inventory Enterprise Trial

Once the trial is over you can use your existing key to revert back to Pro level or choose to upgrade.

  • Thanks Colby, I'll give that a shot. Thanks for the response Jason. I did try that but sadly it didn't work. I'm assuming since we tested out PDQ enterprise before we purchased it.

  • so this worked for us MsiExec.exe /X{111EE7DF-FC45-40C7-98A7-753AC46B12FB} /qn

we had two different GUID's but seem to work like a charm

  • Hi Lee,

That's exactly the case.  For anyone else that's done a trial before but needs a new key please hit us up at support@adminarsenal.com and we'll do what we can to get you taken care of.

By the way great job Colby.  Thanks for helping out in the community.
