What happens to linked lists when PDQ Deploy says installation failed but Inventory says the installation succeeded?

We've had several computers that successfully installed Java even though the installation shows as failed in PDQ Deploy.  PDQ Inventory shows that Java has been installed and has moved it out of the PDQ Inventory group that the PDQ Deploy schedule "links" to for targets.

Does PDQ Deploy stop deployment to computers that show previous failures but have been removed from the linked PDQ Inventory group?  Or do computers need to be manually delete them from the Computer History tab in PDQ Deploy since the deployment hasn't succeeded as far as PDQ Deploy is concerned?
