Installing Paint.Net on 32 bit machines

When deploying the latest Paint.Net package, we get the error MSI Error 1603; Unknown error when the package tries to install the 64 bit version on a 32 bit computer. Can the package be changed so that if the computer is a 32 bit computer, the 64 bit version doesn't try to install.

Thanks.

  • That's really weird because the package is set to only install the 64-bit version on 64-bit computers. Check the Conditions tab on the 64-bit step. The attachment is what it looks like for me.

  • I found the problem after I posted. I mis read the log. It was deploying the 32 bit version to 32 bit machines and 64 bit to 64 bit machines. The machines that it failed on, didn't have the correct version of dot.Net.
