Unable to resolve error 1069 service start logon failure
Brett Davis
Hi,
The PDQ Deploy service fails to start on reboot, even though the credentials are set correctly. The service can be forced to start by clicking on 'change' in PDQ's Credentials preferences dialog, then 'ok' without making any changes. It can also be forced to start by setting the service logon to local system, then starting the service from within PDQ. We get this behavior on two separate installations. Creds do not seem to persist past reboot. Help? Thanks

Hi Brett,
Let's have you try this.
1. Go to Preferences -> Background Service and stop the service.
2. Click the link to change the credentials.
3. Enter a set of "fake" credentials and then right click on them and make them the default.
4. Delete your current set of administrative credentials and then re-enter them again.
5. Right click to make your admin credentials the default and delete the fake set.
6. Close that window and the program console.
7. Restart the console machine if possible.
8. Open the program and see if the problem persists.
Thanks Jason, that looks to have worked.
Hi Jason,
This helped for a couple of reboots but now the behavior is back. Any ideas?
