Is there a way for an end user to trigger a package to run remotely?

I'm describing a sort of shortcut, that will tell PDQ to begin installing a package on the machine I ran the shortcut on.

This way, you don't have to deal with pesky application permission issues on the client machine since the shortcut communicates directly with the PDQ server, and the server schedules the deployments to run as their assigned user in the package properties.

  • You could *probably* script something around the pdqdeploy command line. But good heavens, as it stands, any solution you cobble together to get this working is going to be ugly, and likely open up a few security holes on the way.
