Not Found - Failed to create target directory even after syncing Active Directory.
Doug Kinsey
I have one new PC deployment that has been driving me nuts! If I try to push out software to the PC by name, it comes back with the error. I even manually added PDQ as a local admin on the PC. I get the verification mark for the PC before deploying showing it is in AD, but it fails almost immediately. Now, if I deploy to that same PC with the IP address, rather than the name, it goes through without any problem. Suggestions?

I'm on version 10.2.0.0 (no newer version than that, right?) and I'm still getting these failed to create target directory errors?
I did install a dev build at some stage but I think that was before I installed the 10.2 release.
Cheers
This issue occurs in PDQ deploy 12.1.0.0
deploying by name fails with error "unable to create target directory."
deploying by IP works.
I've been deploying to 450 Win10 1703 machines since 13.1 without any issues. I don't think their software is your issue.
It wasn't meant to be sarcastic or anything. Have you engaged support by emailing support@pdq.com? I didn't see anywhere in this thread where you had done so. The only thing I saw from you was a snarky comment about it not working.
I was merely saying that I have been deploying to Windows 10 for quite some time without any of the errors being present in this thread, and you haven't specifically called out what your exact issue is whether it is the same thing being discussed here or not.
Please provide detail here, or engage support directly. It does work, let's get to the bottom of why it isn't for you.
