Where to add success code for Auto Deployment Packages

Custom deployment packages have an editable list of success return codes in the install step properties, but Auto Deployment packages do not. Where can I add the return code?

    Any help with this? paint.net and Acrobat Reader DC both throw 1603 codes if already installed on the target, which prevents the db from registering successful install and so endless retries. Help please.
