Return code 255

Hello - when using the remote command within PDQ Inventory I get the "Return Code: 255" message....what can this mean?

That's the return code from whatever command it is you're running. Code 255 has different meanings depending on the command, sometimes it means "unknown error". What was the command?

Thanks for getting back….the command I tried to run was “msiexec.exe /unreg”

Error 255 in this case most likely means "The extended attributes are inconsistent" which would mean that there are corrupt system files. You may need to run "sfc /scannow". You can also try to run msiexec /unreg directly on the computer to see if it displays an more detailed error.
