Is it possible to uninstall Internet Explorer 10 remotely?

Somehow IE10 snuck onto a few computers. I'd like to know if it's possible to uninstall it using PDQ Inventory?

  • Paste the following into notepad and save it as rm-ie10.bat  (Note a reboot is needed after the uninstall runs.)

    Deploy and remove IE10.

    Woo Hoo!!

    FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*10.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /norestart /quiet"
    shutdown -r

  • Or try this wusa.exe /uninstall /quiet /norestart /KB:2718695

    But donwt forget to deploy the registry IE update blocker entry.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Setup\10.0
    REG_DWORD DoNotAllowIE10 set to 1
