Check installation date software

Hi,

is it possible to check the installation date of a particular software? I want to filter and see only the machines where some soft has been installed before some date. Is this possible in PDQ inventory?

  • Sure, it is.

Create a new report, add columns you want to see and in the filter tab add Application > Install date > Before - and set the required date.

  • Thank you, but it doesn't show up correctly. I started first with all computers that are online, then under this group, I search for the program that is installed, and then the last group I set the installdate to be before a certain date, but it keeps showing the ones installed after the date.

  • It might be possible thaht you uncovered a bug. Lets wait and see what the AA guys have to say.

If possible, can you please expost/upload the created report?

  • Go to Reports, click with right mouse button on the report and choose export from the context menu.

  • Is it correct that this is an xml file?

  • Yes, the exported report is stored as XML.

  • First of all you have to say more precisely what do you need. A "Collection" or a "Report". These two behave a bit differently.

What you've uploaded is a Collection. check the modified version I've uploaded.

  • It should be a dynamic collection, because it should show a list for pc's where a certain soft needs to be reinstalled.

  • It still will be dependent from the last scan result.

  • I know, I tested it, I installed a new version, rescanned the pc, and it is correctly, but still shown in the list, while it shouldn't be, because the date is after the one I filtered for
