Feature request - Share collections with other external PDQ users

As far as I can tell, this is a new feature request.  I know that with multiple admins managing the same domain can share their collections if they're both registered Enterprise users.  My request is to expand on that and allow Enterprise customers not from the same domain/organization to share their collections with each other.  A subscribe and sync function would be really nice, I'd love to be able to subscribe to someone's list of filters and just browse them to see how they're using it.   Even just being able to export a filter's settings to a file that we can email and import would work.

As for a use case -- I work at a school district in Mississippi.  We've got a mailing list made up of all the tech coordinators and network admins from districts around the state.  Well, maybe not all, but most.  It's a rather large list.  We've been discussing PDQ on the list recently, it turns out we've got quiet a few districts in the state using it.  Everybody's been saying great things about it, so I wouldn't be surprised if more districts start using it as well.  The main reason for the list existing is for us to be able to have a quick channel to ask others for advice or help.  Being able to share our Inventory collection filters would be a huge benefit.

  • You can right-click a collection and export it as an XML file.

  • I don't know how I missed that.  It's exactly what I needed.  Thank you.
