Reimaged a laptop and now PDQ can't grab it.

It shows up in the proper area when I do an AD sync in both Inventory and Deploy. However, no matter how many times i run a scan or initiate a heartbeat, it remains "Offline" and I am unable to audit it or deploy software to it. It is part of the domain, on the network, logged in, online, etc... I even cleared the dns cache - still nothing.

Any ideas?

  • Update - I cannot ping the workstation from the server with the PDQ installation. I can, however, ping the server from the workstation.

  • It still sounds like a DNS issue from the server side since the server can be resolved from the workstation but not vice-versa. When you ping (outside of PDQ) what error do you get?

When you ping from the server does it resolve but just not reply? If it resolves but doesn't reply to the ping then the firewall settings on the target  most likely need to be applied.
