Created a dynamic collection based upon OS install date from the past

Hi,

I would like to create a dynamic collection based upon the OS's installation date in the past, i.e. upto two days ago. At the moment all i can create at the moment is a comparison that equals to an amount of days in the future. If i did a not equals that all stations would be returned because they were all build in the past! This is why i would like to filter to an amount of days in the past. On the Edit Date/Time selector you can not go to minus numbers which would be in the past.

My idea is then to setup a scheduled heartbeat deployment to this dynamic collection to install a list of default basic plugins, utilities etc. following the reinstallation of the OS.

Has anyone been able to do this or replicate what i am trying to do easily?

I have got one package setup where the dynamic collection looks for computers that does not have that package installed already. I just didn't want to do this for every package tool or utility that we class as a default assignment. My list would be Adobe Flash, Adobe Reader, Shockwave, Java, VLC, Silverlight + 5 others etc etc etc.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,

David

  • Manually change "days from now" to "days ago". I attached a screen shot of a collection I have for computers that have not been scanned within the last 3 days.
