Non Domain/DNS Computer

Hello, Good Morning,

I added an IP which is a Non Domain and its not on the DNS for it to be resolved. After I clic Add it resolves the name and change the IP for the computer Name, until here its able to find the computer. Then I click OK to add it to the Collection, and here it can't scan the computer, it says "Computer Name Could not be Found, Is there a way to use the IP instead of the computer Name? Or do I have to add all the computers to the hosts file of the local machine. I find it weird not to be able to use the IP after it fails resolving the name.

I found the answer on this post http://support.adminarsenal.com/entries/60853830-Inventory-scan-by-IP-range but adding it to the Host File solved the issue, it will be easier this way to handle non domain computers.
