Report Outdated Computers
Michael Beck
Hi,
is there a possibility to report all outdated applications of all computers? I would like to have a report, which compare the installed applications of each computer (PDQ Inventory) with the versions of available packages of the Package Library (PDQ Deploy). The goal is to see which application must be updated on which computer without reporting each application with a single "application-owned" report.
thanks
Michael

If you have [url=http://www.adminarsenal.com/inventory-what-is-pro-mode/]PDQ Inventory Enterprise[/url] you have access to the Collection Library. It has a bunch of common software. For everything else you will have to build the collections yourself. I have built up a fairly complicated little collection system and it works extremely well for me. It's a bit confusing and can take a while to get right, but it's worth putting some time into.
Woops, apparently no fancy links with BBCode :)

Hi Colby,
first of all. Thanks a lot for your reply. I only have the pro subscribtion. How can I build libraries by myself with the pro license? In the "Collection Library" section, I can nothing do..!?
Here's a video that explains Collections: http://support.adminarsenal.com/entries/97623628-Getting-Started-Collection-Basics
I highly recommend looking through the other videos as well

Also, the help system built into PDQ is really useful.
OK, thanks again. I know the function of "dynamic collections" of course. But that`s not exactly what I`m looking for.
I have so much different computers with a lot of software installed. Now with PDQ I have the chance to uninstall unwanted software or update existing software. But I have no idea which software is installed on which computer AND which of them are outdated. And therefor I would like to have a report which compares all installed software (from PDQ inventory) with the Package Library from PDQ Deploy. So, I don`t have to build a report or a dynamic collection by myself.
Maybe (?) it is possible with a SQL Report...!?
