Deploying to Dynamic Collection Not Working

Testing this before deploying to a larger group.  I have about 5 machines in my test group showing up in a Dynamic Collection showing they do not have Firefox.

- I changed the schedule to try to deploy every 10 minutes.

-Target was selected by Link To > Missing Firefox

-Package is attached to Schedule.

The next run counts down to 0 and nothing happens, the countdown just starts over.   Am I missing something?

  • Hi Ryan,

Is it possible that FireFox was deployed to those targets but the scan information hasn't been updated so you're not seeing up to date targets?  Can you verify on those machines what version is installed?

  • I can confirm the version of Firefox had not been updated on these machines.  I have 4 schedules set up the same way for Java, Adobe Reader, and Chrome.  All of them are doing about the same.  The next Run counts down, but the last run remain blank.  It seems like it is not triggering the package to run, but it does show that package is attached to the schedule.

  • Are these machines that were deployed to previously with the same schedule?  For example did you reimage a machine and use the same name?  What I'm digging at is that if the deployment at one point was successful to those machines and you're using the Option to Stop Deploying to computers once they succeed (options tab) then you'll see those computers in the Computer History tab of that same schedule.  There are a few other ways that Computer History can be triggered but that is the most common.

  • Just double check to be 100% sure.  The "Stop deploying to computers once they succeed" is unchecked.

  • Not sure if there is better information I can show to help?
